Volunteer opportunity description

The Royal British Society of Sculptors is running a drop-in sculpture making event for families on Tuesday 15th August from 11.00am - 4.00pm in Napoleon Garden, Holland Park W86LU.

Visitors to the workshop will be able to create their own unique sculptural sundial. Draw inspiration from the stunning sculpture Meridiana by Helaine Blumenfeld OBE and its beautiful natural surroundings (including the resident peacock!)

We require two volunteers who can help deliver the workshop  - setting up materials and helping participants if they need guidance with their sculpture.

This opportunity would enable people interested in arts education to gain invaluable experience in delivering art workshops to young people.

This role requires volunteers to undertake a DBS (free) which the company will arrange.

Also previous experience of working with young people is desirable.

Volunteers would need to meet at the Royal British Society of Sculptors headquarters at 108 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London SW7 3RA at 10am to help take the materials to Napoleon Garden where the workshop will be held. We pay volunteers up to £13 for travel and food (receipts must be provided).
