Volunteer opportunity description

PLIAS Resettlement is a community based not for profit organisation, and registered charity, located in the London borough of Brent. Our mission is to support the resettlement and reintegration of offenders back into the community, thereby improving their life chances and future prospects.

PLIAS is looking for a motivated volunteer to support ex-offenders resettling in the community.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

 

·         Organizing and running skilled workshops for clients

·         Support clients in up-skilling

·         CV writing

·         Disclosure letter writing

·         Updating computer records

·         Printing and photocopying

·         Applications/referrals   

·         Filling and organizing        

·         Registering clients

·         Contacting client/ Booking appointment

·         Supporting Project Leads in all daily tasks

Reimbursement of expenses

Volunteer Post, Travel expenses will be covered each day and a budget of £3.00 a day for lunch.

 

Working hours, patterns and environment

Ideally we are looking for volunteers to spend around 15 hours per week with us - we are flexible so please get in touch to discuss.
