Volunteer opportunity description

EPC’s work dates back to 1995 when we were set up by Enfield Council to deliver advice and information on special educational needs and disabilities. In 1996 we became an independent charity and our work with children with SEND has been a cornerstone of what we do.

We are looking for volunteers that can help raise funds for EPC in order that EPC can provide services to meet the needs of its beneficiaries.

What will the role of a fundraiser involve?

You will be a member of the EPC Fundraising Committee and, working with other Committee members, you will be:

·  Developing local/community fundraising and awareness events;

·  Manning a stall at an event;

·  Putting up posters or handling out flyers;

·  Delivering a presentation to a school in your local area;

·   Attending cheque presentations;

·   Approaching individuals, schools, universities, shops and commercial organisations for sponsorship and donations.

How much time should you offer? Where will you be based?

·  We are looking for volunteers who are able to meet with us for 1-2 hours on a regular  fortnightly basis plus undertaking community work as agreed within the Fundraising Committee.

·  EPC Office at Community House, 311 Fore Street, London, N9 0PZ and in the local community.
