Volunteer opportunity description

Hello!

We need to produce something eyecatching that contains the information below.

Are you creative? Want some graphic design experience?

Help us make a difference this Christmas by producing a pdf, gif, png file or similar that will encourage people to come to our shelter this year.

To find out more about the shelter please visit: https://www.qha.org.uk/quaker-christmas-shelter/

The Quaker Christmas Shelter this year is held at Union Chapel, Highbury Corner, Islington, London, from 23rd to 30th December 2017.

We offer 26 beds each night for men and women in one supervised room. Guests can be referred by agencies or self-refer.

The Referrals phone line will open on 22nd December. Call 07833-123155 to make a referral or to self-refer or come to Union Chapel between 23 - 29 December and ask for Frances.

Quaker Christmas Shelter offers breakfast to ‘all comers’,  from 8am to 10am each day from 23rd to 30th December. A packed lunch is available to take away, as well.

In the evening we offer a ‘home cooked’ dinner for up to 80 ‘all comers’ per night. We will also have some Christmas themed entertainment and up to 30 services (e.g. a doctor and/or nurse on site, a hairdresser, an optometrist, etc.). We will also have the Pilion Trust on site to provide professional drug/alcohol/mental health counselling and outreach work.

Requirements

You will need a computer to produce the image or you can draw it and take a picture and email it to us.

This is something that you will need to do from home as we do not have any space or resources for you unfortunately.
