Volunteer opportunity description

Greenwich + Docklands International Festival (GDIF) is London’s leading festival of free outdoor theatre and performing arts, now in its 23rd year. This year’s festival will take place from 21 June to 7 July across different locations in Royal Greenwich and Tower Hamlets. Including Historic Maritime Greenwich, Greenwich Peninsula, Royal Docks, Woolwich, Thamesmead, Eltham, Canary Wharf and Roman Road.

This year, GDIF is looking to recruit a team of 150 volunteers to help make the festival a success.

We want help from volunteers on all aspects of the Festival, and as such we have a wide variety of volunteer roles available to sign up to this year. These range from marketing and social media assistant roles, to participation volunteers who'll take part in 'Beautiful Thing', one of the festival's headline events, to on-site Artist Liaisons, Team Leaders and Festival Volunteers.

We welcome people of all ages and from all walks of life, so please do get in touch if you'd like to get involved in London's leading festival of free, outdoor theatre and performing arts.

Suitable both for people looking to gain events experience and for those who are simply wanting to do something productive with their time.

Marketing Volunteers – we’re looking for people to help with the festival’s marketing operation, both in and out of our office. As well as being vital to the festival's delivery, these tasks can provide volunteers with some highly desirable skills and experience within an arts festival context.
