Volunteer opportunity description

About Charles Dickens Museum

48 Doughty Street provides the unique experience of entering the only remaining London home of Britain's most popular novelist. Housed in the beautifully restored Georgian townhouse where Dickens penned Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby, the Charles Dickens Museum charts the story of the man and the writer through original manuscripts, furniture, paintings and other ephemera relating to his life and times.

Much of the necessary work at the Museum is carried out by a dedicated and valued team of volunteers. We offer a wide variety of opportunities that allow you to be a vital part of the day-to-day running of Dickens's 'house in town'.
