Volunteer opportunity description

On Saturday 13th October, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children’s Charity are proud to be holding the RBC Race for the Kids. Based in Hyde Park, this 5k event welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Participants are invited to run, jog, wheel or walk the 5k route and to then celebrate their achievement at the family finish.

We need your support to make the day even more amazing and have some exciting opportunities available!

  • Cheering participants around the course
  • Meeting and greeting participants to the event
  • Handing out medals and goody bags
  • Plus lots of other fun opportunities to make the day amazing!

We would love to have you there supporting everyone taking part and who are hoping to raise huge sums for the seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

For giving up your time we can offer you:

  • Before the event, a full overview highlighting all the information you will need for the day and your allocated role
  • Access to the volunteering Facebook group
  • T-shirts, banners and bang sticks for cheer station volunteers
  • Breakfast (if you arrive before 9am) and lunch depending on your time slot
  • A full briefing on the day
  • Support from a volunteer manager and GOSH Charity staff

Requirements

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Interest in meeting with and supporting fundraisers
  • An interest in the event sector
  • An interest in the work of the charity
  • Reliability

Time Requirements:

Saturday 13th October - 7.30am - approx 2pm (dependent on role)

(Please note that we are unable to reimburse volunteer expenses for this role)
