Volunteer opportunity description

Beat, the UK's eating disorder charity is recruiting university students to represent the charity at their university. If you're currently studying and passionate about ending the pain and suffering of eating disorders we want you!

We’re looking for organised people with enthusiasm and a creative flair who want to make a difference for people affected by eating disorders. Being a Beat Campus Rep is a diverse and exciting role that could involve organising a fundraising concert, a comedy night, or a series of awareness talks. You'll meet other students that are passionate about the issue, make new friends and can even set up a Beat society!

We need your help to raise awareness of the symptoms of eating disorders as well as raise funds raise funds to help us reach even more people with our support services.

We’ll help you use your creativity and initiative for maximum impact, develop new skills in event planning, project management, communications, campaigning, fundraising, and networking. You can really make a difference and build the skills that employers are looking for!


Beat Campus Reps must be a student at one of the following universities:

  • UCL
  • King's 
  • Southbank
  • Queen Mary

No experience is necessary, we're looking for enthusiastic, organised individuals who want to raise funds, fight stigma and change lives.

Time commitment: no more than a couple of hours, unless you want to do more - or if even less - if you are interested please register your interest.

Volunteer expenses: we will cover reasonable travel expenses.
