Volunteer opportunity description

We are looking for volunteers to help us with collecting cash donations at a Christmas carol afternoon on Sunday 16th December in Old Spitalfields Market. You’ll be needed from 12pm-4:30pm, but any time you can spare is really appreciated.

There will be over 200 musicians singing and playing Christmas carols, helping spread festive joy amongst shoppers in Spitalfields Market, so there will be a really festive and enjoyable atmosphere.

There has previously been media coverage from the BBC, London Live and Londonist, so it's a really exciting event to be a part of and we are hoping to collect generous donations for Centrepoint around the vital festive period.

There will be a member of Centrepoint staff there to answer any questions the public may have about the charity and youth homelessness, so your role should be easy and lots of fun!

The more volunteers we have with us on the day, the more money we can raise to help end youth homelessness and change lives for the better, therefore your role is super important to us and we’d love to have you join us for any time you can spare.

Requirements

  • You’ll be given a Centrepoint branded collection bucket and jacket to wear
  • You will need to be able to stand for a few hours with a collection bucket
  • Please make sure you are also prepared for the weather, and wearing comfortable shoes.
  • All you'll need to bring is a positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping homeless young people

We do not reimburse travel expenses.
