About us:

The Ethiopian Women Empowerment Group is a registered charity and a woman’s community-based organisation dedicated to developing services providing support to women from Ethiopia and other Black, Minority Ethnic & Refugee communities to help them live healthy lives and build confidence.

Role purpose:

We are looking to recruit 2 part-time volunteers coordinators to recruit, train and manage 8-10 new volunteers to help our local community.  


This is a great role supporting a great active charity team.  Our volunteers are so important to us and you will be responsible for supporting them and providing them with basic training: example of activities and responsibilities:

  • Planning volunteer roles and responsibilities
  • Creating time sheets
  • Working with clients which includes confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Advertising opportunities
  • Recruitment such as interviewing and training new volunteers
  • Planning and organising volunteering monthly meetings and planning programme of support for volunteers




  • You will gain experience of working for an impactful organisation.
  • Your skills and experience will make a significant impact on our charity and support our beneficiaries
  • Volunteer lunch and travel expenses are paid for those who work over 3 hours
  • Volunteers will get a job experience and we will write them a reference

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to motivate and attract talent.
  • Excellent Team work.
  • Good Organisational Skills.
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills


Our ideal candidate would be willing and able to work with us from a minimum 3-6 months, working 2 days per week.  Ideally you would also be from the local area so that working with us is convenient for you.
