Volunteer opportunity description

We are looking for volunteers with electronics and electrical fixing skills willing to join our network to help prevent waste.

We are looking for diverse skills, maybe you can help with basic electrical fixing like changing fuses and plugs, or understand software issues so can help with laptops and mobiles.  Do you love a repair challenge?  Then come and join us at one of our events.

The Restart Project aims to prevent waste, help people stayed connected, save money and the planet by encouraging and empowering people to use their electronics for longer.

Become a Restarter - Volunteer with us by joining us at our regular repair events called "Restart Parties" - springing up across the UK and beyond. We have pop-up events across London, it's easy to join in!

About The Restart Project

The Restart Project is a London-based social enterprise that encourages and empowers people to use their electronics longer in order to reduce waste.

We help people learn to repair their own electronics in community events and in workplaces.

Restarters are people who like helping others learn how to fix broken electronics and electricals - anything with a battery or that plugs in - with a few exceptions for safety, like microwaves.

Restarters have diverse skills. Some help with basic electrical fixing involving changing fuses and plugs. Others deal with software issues on laptops and mobiles. What unites Restarters is the love of a repair challenge and their collaborative approach.

Become a Restarter, help empower people by teaching repair, and reduce e-waste.

We are unable to reimburse volunteer expenses.
