Volunteer opportunity description

The International Youth Arts Festival Kingston (IYAF) now in its 11th year has become a must see arts festival and often considered a precursor to Edinburgh Fringe. Showcasing the best young talent nationally and internationally IYAF provides a platform where emerging young artists aged 5-26 years old can reveal and share their skills and artistic expression with local and visiting audiences. Over the last 7 years the growth has been phenomenal; more than 25,000 young people have participated in delivering the festival as artists, project managers, interns, volunteers in over 18 venues.

This is an exciting opportunity to review various shows, be part of an active press team and see your work shared with local residents across Kingston.

The festival itself runs July 5 - 14 but this is initally an invitation to reviewer/assessors to be involved in our selection process for our Brighton Fringe award which is presented in early June and brings shows from Brighton in May to IYAF in July.

Volunteers should be comfortable writing about a variety of subjects and able to work to a deadline.
